La Venta
La Venta adalah sebuah situs Olmek yang terletak di sebuah dataran aluvial di sebuah pulau yang menghadap ke Sungai Palma yang pada saat itu masih mengalir. Situs ini terletak di negara bagian Tabasco, Meksiko. Seperti situs-situs Olmek lainnya, nama asli situs ini tidak diketahui, dan La Venta merupakan istilah dalam bahasa Spanyol. Situs ini berasal dari masa praklasik. Berdasarkan teknik penanggalan radiokarbon dari hasil ekskavasi pada tahun 1955, situs ini berasal dari masa sekitar 1000 hingga 600 SM, sementara analisis berdasarkan arang yang ditemukan di Piramida Besar La Venta menunjukkan periode sekitar 394 ± 36 SM. Situs ini kemungkinan besar sudah ditinggalkan setelah tahun 400 SM.
