Lagu balasan

Lagu balasan adalah lagu (biasanya kaset rekaman) yang dibuat untuk membalas pesan dari lagu yang dibuat pada masa sebelumnya, biasanya karya artis lainnya. Konsep tersebut merebak dalam musik rekaman blues dan R&B dari 1930an sampai 1950an. Lagu balasan juga sangat populer dalam genre musik country pada 1950an dan 1960an, biasanya sebagai balasan perempuan terhadap hit asli karya artis laki-laki.
