Calliphora vomitoria, atau yang dikenal sebagai aro atau langau biru, adalah sebuah spesies langau dalam famili Calliphoridae. Spesies ini adalah spesies tipe dari genus Calliphora. Lalat ini umum dijumpai di sekujur banyak benua termasuk Eropa, Amerika dan Afrika. Langau biru adalah lalat yang cukup besar, hampir dua kali lipat ukuran lalat rumah, dengan abdomen biru metalik dan seta oranye panjang di gena-nya.[3][4]

Saat dewasa memakan nektar, betina menaruh telur-telurnya di bangkai membusuk, menjadikannya serangga forensik yang penting, karena telur dan waktu oviposisi mereka dapat digunakan untuk memperkirakan waktu setelah kematian.
