Lemaitre adalah duo musik elektronik asal Oslo, Norwegia. Duo ini beranggotakan Ketil Jansen dan Ulrik Denizou Lund.[1] awalnya teman satu sekolah di Lillehammer.[2] Jansen dan Lund membentuk Lemaitre pada 20 Juni 2010.[3] Lemaitre sekarang berbasis di Los Angeles.[4]

Pembentukan

Dalam sebuah wawancara, Lemaitre menjelaskan bahwa grup mereka dinamakan dari Georges Lemaître, seorang imam Belgia yang mengajukan teori ledakan dahsyat.[5] Jansen menambahkan ternyata mereka baru sadar akan nama "Le maitre" berarti "master" dalam bahasa Prancis.[1]
