Lila Lee (nama lahir Augusta Wilhelmena Fredericka Appel; 25 Juli 1905 – 13 November 1973)[1] adalah seorang pemeran panggung berpengaruh, utamanya peran utama, pada era film bisu dan awal era film bersuara.
Kehidupan awal
Sebagai putri dari pasangan Augusta Fredericka Appel dan Carl Appel,[2][3] Lee lahir dengan nama Augusta Wilhelmena Fredericka Appel pada 25 Juli 1905 di Union Hill, New Jersey (kini bagian dari Union City), dalam keluarga kelas menengah imigran Jerman yang pindah ke New York City. Ia memiliki seorang kakak, Pauline ("Peggy"), yang lahir di Hamburg, Jerman.[4][5]
