Lindsey Hughes
Lindsey Hughes (4 Mei 1949 – 26 April 2007) adalah seorang sejarawan Inggris yang mempelajari Rusia pada abad ketujuh belas dan kedelapan belas, khususnya pada masa pemerintahan Peter yang Agung. Dia menulis biografi Peter dan pendahulunya Sophia Alekseyevna, serta karya yang lebih umum, Russia in the Age of Peter the Great. Dia juga banyak menulis tentang sejarah seni.
Biografi
Hughes menulis dua buku tentang Peter yang Agung. The New York Times menyebut Russia in the Age of Peter the Great (1998) sebagai "kompilasi sarjana, yang terorganisir sedemikian rupa -- dengan indeks dan bibliografi lengkap, kronologi peristiwa yang panjang dan susunan topik bab dan bagian -- untuk memfasilitasi referensi siap pakai , keseluruhannya dicetak dengan menarik dengan sedikit kesalahan, semuanya sesuai dengan otoritas terkemuka Inggris dalam bidang ini dan penerbitnya yang terkemuka."[1]
