Litostroma adalah genus alga laut yang kemungkinan merupakan alga merah, meskipun afinitas dengan alga hijau dan alga cokelat juga telah diusulkan.[2] Genus ini terdiri dari talus setebal satu sel yang mencapai diameter sekitar 6 mm dan ketebalan 140 μm.[1]
