Lophognathus adalah sbeuah genus kadal agamid berbadan besar yang mencakup dua spesies, yaitu L. gilberti dan L. horneri. Kedua spesies tersebut endemik ke Australia utara. Bersamaan dengan beberapa genera lainnya yang berkerabat dekat dengan Lophognathus (seperti Amphibolurus, Gowidon dan Tropicagama), kadal-kadal ini umum dirujuk sebagai "naga". Di Australia, kadal-kadal ini juga umum dikenal sebagai kadal "Ta Ta", karena perilaku "melambai" mereka setelah berlari di permukaan yang panas.
Genus ini berupa kadal semi-arboreal bertubuh ramping yang hidup di berbagai habitat, termasuk bukit pasir dan wilayah kering, tetapi sering ditemukan di dekat anak sungai.
