Lorelei

Lorelei[a] (juga dieja sebagai Loreleï, Lore Lay, Lore-Ley, Lurley, Lurelei, dan Lurlei sepanjang sejarah) adalah tebing sabak setinggi 132 meter (433 ft), di sisi sungai Rhine di ngarai Rhine (atau Rhine Tengah) di Sankt Goarshausen, negara Jerman, bagian dari Situs Warisan Dunia UNESCO "Lembah Rhine Tengah Hulu".[1] Amfiteater Loreley terletang di atas tebing tersebut.

Tebing tersebut termasyhur akan musibah pelayaran yang tercatat sejak abad ke-10, dengan berbagai mitos, mulai dari kurcaci hingga siren yang dijadikan alasan banyaknya jumlah kecelakaan kapal dan gema yang keras di jalur pelayaran tersebut.[2]
