MTV News

MTV News adalah divisi pemberitaan dari MTV, salah satu saluran televisi musik di Amerika Serikat. MTV News dimulai pada akhir 1980-an dengan program The Week In Rock, dipandu oleh Kurt Loder, koresponden pertama MTV News. Sejak 1990, riff pembukaan untuk lagu Megadeth "Peace Sells" telah menjadi lagu pembuka utama untuk The Week In Rock.

MTV News pertama kali mulai meliput berita politik di Pemilihan presiden Amerika Serikat 1992, melalui kampanye "Choose or Lose".[1][2] Sejak itu, MTV telah menggunakan banner "Choose or Lose" untuk pemilihan presiden lainnya di Amerika Serikat. Untuk pemilihan tahun 2008, Barack Obama dan Hillary Clinton tampil di acara spesial MTV untuk membahas perang Irak.[3]
