Maine Road adalah bekas stadion sepak bola yang terletak di Moss Side, Manchester, Inggris yang digunakan sebagai kandang Manchester City F.C. dari tahun 1923 sampai 2003. Maine Road juga digunakan untuk beberapa pertandingan semi-final Piala FA, beberapa pertandingan Charity Shield, final Piala Liga tahun 1984 dan beberapa pertandingan tim nasional Inggris karena kapasitasnya yang besar, sehingga mendapat julukan Wembley of the North.[1]

Maine Road saat dihancurkan

Maine Road menjadi stadion klub terbesar kedua di Inggris setelah Wembley pada saat dibuka tahun 1923. Pada saat itu kapasitasnya bisa menampung 80,000 sampai dengan 100,000 penonton.

Rekor tertinggi terjadi pada tahun 1934, ketika 84,569 penonton datang menyaksikan pertandingan Piala FA antara Manchester City dan Stoke City.

Maine Road juga mencatat rekor penonton terbanyak, pada saat 83,260 penonton menyaksikan pertandingan liga antara Manchester United dan Arsenal pada tanggal 17 January 1948.

Musim 2002-03 adalah musim terakhir Manchester City bermain di Maine Road, dengan pertandingan terakhir dimainkan pada 11 Mei 2003. Musim 2003-2004 berikutnya Manchester City pindah ke City of Manchester Stadium yang sekarang bernama Etihad Stadium di sebelah timur Manchester, satu mil atau lebih dari pusat kota Manchester.
