Maravedí

Kepingan maravedí yang dikeluarkan Alfonso VIII dari Kastilia pada 1191. Tulisan pada koin berbahasa Arab.

Maravedí adalah mata uang yang terbuat dari koin emas atau perak yang digunakan di Semenanjung Iberia (sekarang Spanyol dan Portugal) pada abad ke-11 hingga 14. Nilai mata uang ini berubah-ubah, pada masa Alfonso VIII dari Kastilia (1158–1214), ia berisi sekitar 3,8 gram emas, lalu turun hingga mencapai 1 gram pada masa Chaime I dari Aragon (1213–1276), lalu menjadi perak pada masa Alfonso X dari Kastilia (1252–1284)
