Maria Ângela Guterres Viegas Carrascalão (lahir 10 April 1951) adalah seorang wartawati, pengarang, dosen universitas dan mantan Menteri Kehakiman dari Timor Leste. Ia adalah anggota Uni Demokratik Timor (União Democrática Timorense) (UDT).
Kehidupan awal dan pendidikan
Carrascalão lahir di Caitucoloa, Liquiçá, Timor Portugis,[1] salah satu dari tiga belas anak Manuel Viegas Carrascalão, seorang pengasing Portugis yang menikahi seorang wanita Timor. Beberapa saudaranya juga menduduki jabatan-jabatan politik tingkat tinggi.[2]
