Mark Marie Robert Karpelès (lahir 1 Juni 1985), juga kadang-kadang dikenal dengan alias online MagicalTux, adalah mantan CEO pertukaran bitcoin Mt. Gox. Dia pindah ke Jepang pada tahun 2009.[1][2][3]
Kehidupan awal dan pendidikan
Karpelès lahir pada tahun 1985 di Chenôve, Prancis, anak dari Anne-Robert Karpelès, seorang ahli geologi. Ia dibesarkan di Dijon. Antara 1995 dan 2000 ia menempuh pendidikan di Collège Prieuré de Binson di Châtillon-sur-Marne, dekat Dormans. Dia kemudian menghabiskan satu tahun di Lycée Claude Bernard di Paris sebelum menyelesaikan pendidikannya pada tahun 2003 di Lycée Louis Armand di Paris.[4]
