Max Ernst August Bodenstein (15 Juli 1871 – 3 September 1942) adalah seorang kimiawan fisika Jerman yang dikenala tas karyanya dalam kinetika kimia. Ia mula-mula merumuskan mekanisme reaksi rantai dan bahwa ledakan adalah reaksi rantai bercabang, kemudian diterapkan pada bom atom.
