Meli-Shipak II di atas takhtanya di wilayah kudurru yang dihibahkan kepada Ḫunnubat-Nanaya. Bintang berujung delapan adalah simbol Inanna-Ishtar yang paling umum. Di sini ditampilkan di samping cakra surya saudaranya Shamash (Utu Sumeria) dan bulan sabit ayahandanya Sin (Nanna Sumeria) di atas batu batas Meli-Shipak II, berasal dari abad ke-12 SM.[i 1]

Meli-Šipak II, atau Melišiḫu[nb 1] dalam prasasti kontemporer, merupakan raja ketiga puluh tiga Kass atau Dinasti ketiga Babilon skt. 1186–1172 SM (kronologi pendek) dan memerintah selama lima belas tahun.[i 3] Pemerintahannya menandai titik sinkronisasi kritis dalam kronologi Timur Dekat Kuno.
