Membrana Bowman atau lamina elastik anterior adalah lapisan halus pada mata. Terletak di antara epitelium dan stroma di kornea. Lapisan ini terdiri dari serat kolagen kuat dan membantu kornea mempertahankan bentuknya.
Lapisan Bowman tidak terdapat pada kucing, anjing dan karnivora lainnya.[1]
Membrana Bowman dinamakan dari Sir William Bowman, seorang dokter, ahli anatomi, dan ahli mata dari Inggris.
