Mere Christianity adalah sebuah buku teologi karya C. S. Lewis, yang diadaptasi dari suatu seri pembicaraan radio BBC yang direkam pada tahun 1942 sampai 1944, ketika Lewis masih di Oxford pada masa Perang Dunia II.[2]
Pengaruh budaya
Pada tahun 2006, Mere Christianity ditempatkan pada peringkat ketiga dalam daftar yang disusun oleh Christianity Today' mengenai buku-buku yang paling berpengaruh di antara para evangelikal sejak tahun 1945.[3] Judulnya memengaruhi Touchstone Magazine: A Journal of Mere Christianity dan buku karya William Dembski Mere Creation. Charles Colson menjadi Kristen setelah membaca buku ini, demikian pula Francis Collins, Jonathan Aitken, Josh Caterer dan filsuf C. E. M. Joad.
Satu bagian buku ini juga memengaruhi nama grup musik pop/rock Kristen kontemporer asal Texas yang dinominasikan untuk Grammy, Sixpence None the Richer. Frasa, "the hammering process" digunakan oleh grup band metal Kristen al Living Sacrifice menjadi nama album mereka The Hammering Process. Band Metalcore, Norma Jean, menamai lagu mereka "No Passenger: No Parasite" dari bagian buku di mana Lewis menggambarkan suatu masyarakat yang seluruhnya Kristen "tanpa penumpang, tanpa parasit" ("No passengers or parasites").
