Michael Hughes Kenny (26 Juni 1937 – 19 Februari 1995) adalah seorang prelat Gereja Katolik Roma Amerika Serikat. Ia menjabat sebagai uskup Keuskupan Juneau di Alaska dari 1979 sampai 1995.[1]

Biografi

Michael Kenny lahir di Hollywood, California, pada 26 Juni 1937. Ia ditahbiskan menjadi imam untuk Keuskupan Santa Rosa oleh Uskup Leo Thomas Maher pada 30 Maret 1963.[2]

Pada 22 Maret 1979, Paus Yohanes Paulus II mengangkat Kenny menjadi uskup Keuskupan Juneau ketiga. Ia ditahbiskan oleh Sri Paus pada 27 Mei 1979. Ko-konsekratornya adalah uskup Agung Duraisamy Lourdusamy dan Eduardo Somalo.[2]

Michael Kenny meninggal di Palestina akibat aneurisme otak pada 19 Februari 1995. Ia kemudian dimakamkan di Juneau.[2][3] Pada 2009, Bishop Michael H. Kenny Memorial Peace Park dibuka di Juneau.[3]

Menurut penerusnya, Uskup Edward J. Burns, Kenny datang ke setiap komunitas di keuskupan dan bertemu dengan seluruh umat Katolik di komunitas tersebut.[3]
