Mimesis
Mimesis (/mɪˈmiːsɪs, mə-, maɪ-, -əs/;[1] bahasa Yunani Kuno: μίμησις, mīmēsis) adalah istilah yang digunakan dalam kritik sastra dan filsafat yang memiliki banyak arti, termasuk imitatio, imitasi, kesamaan nonsensuous, penerimaan, representasi, mimikri, tindakan ekspresi, tindakan menyerupai, dan penyajian diri.[2]
Mimesis adalah sebuah proses peniruan. Mimesis ada di dalam diri setiap manusia sehingga proses peniruan ini juga menjadi proses terciptanya budaya. Secara sistematis, Mimesis terjadi karena kita menjadikan orang lain sebagai model.
