Mizoribin (disingkat MZB) adalah obat imunosupresan. Senyawa ini pertama kali diamati di Tokyo, Jepang, pada tahun 1971.[1] Obat ini pertama kali diisolasi dari jamur Penicillium brefeldianum. Mizoribin adalah nukleosida imidazola yang telah digunakan dalam transplantasi ginjal dan pada sindrom nefrotik resisten steroid, nefropati IgA, lupus, serta untuk orang dewasa dengan rheumatoid Arthritis, nefritis lupus, dan penyakit rematik lainnya. MZB mengerahkan aktivitasnya melalui penghambatan selektif inosina monofosfat dehidrogenase dan guanosina monofosfat sintetase, yang menghasilkan penghambatan lengkap sintesis nukleotida guanina tanpa penggabungan ke dalam nukleotida. Obat ini menghentikan sintesis DNA pada fase S pembelahan sel. Dengan demikian, MZB memiliki toksisitas yang lebih rendah daripada azatioprin, imunosupresan lain yang digunakan untuk beberapa penyakit yang sama.
