Musteloidea adalah sebuah superfamili mamalia carnivora yang memiliki kesamaan ciri tubuh berupa kemiripan ciri gigi dan tengkorak. Musteloidea merupakan takson saudara dari pinnipedia, yang mencakup anjing laut.[1]
Musteloidea mencakup famili-famili berikut:
- Ailuridae, panda merah dan kerabat-kerabat punahnya
- Mephitidae, sigung dan teledu sigung
- Mustelidae, famili cerpelai, termasuk teledu dunia lama dan dunia baru, feret dan polecat, musang ikan, grison dan teledu madu, amunin dan amunin hitam, berang-berang sungai dan laut, cerpelai ekor-pendek, tayra dan beruang sigung.
- Procyonidae, rakun dan procyonid mirip rakun, koati, kinkajou, olingo, olinguito, ringtail dan cacomistle.
Di Amerika Utara, ursidae dan musteloid pertamakali muncul pada subkala Chadronian[butuh rujukan] pada Eosen akhir, dan pada awal kala Oligosen di Eropa, tak lama setelah Peristiwa kepunahan Eosen-Oligosen
Kladogram dibawah didasari oleh filogeni molekuler enam gen pada Flynn (2005),[2] dengan penempatan musteloidea yang diperbarui setelah analisis multigen oleh Law et al. (2018).[3]
