NGC 4236 (juga dikenal sebagai Caldwell 3) adalah galaksi spiral berbatang yang terletak di rasi bintang Draco. NGC 4236 ditemukan oleh William Herschel pada tanggal 6 April 1793.
Informasi grup galaksi
NGC 4236 adalah anggota dari Grup M81, sekelompok galaksi yang terletak pada jarak sekitar 11,7 Mly (3,6 Mpc) dari Bumi.[3] Kelompok ini juga berisi galaksi spiral terkenal Messier 81 dan galaksi starburst terkenal Messier 82.[3]
