NOAA-19

NOAA-19, yang ditunjuk NOAA-N '(NOAA-N Prime) sebelum diluncurkan, adalah serangkaian satelit cuaca yang terakhir dari Amerika Serikat National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration POES (yang dijadwalkan akan digantikan oleh berikutnya-seri NPOESS generasi sebelum proyek NPOESS dibatalkan). NOAA-19 diluncurkan pada 6 Februari 2009.
Instrumen
NOAA-N Prime membawa serangkaian delapan instrumen yang menyediakan data untuk prediksi cuaca dan iklim. Seperti pendahulunya, NOAA-N Prime menyediakan citra global awan dan fitur permukaan serta profil vertikal suhu dan kelembapan atmosfer untuk digunakan dalam model prakiraan cuaca dan laut numerik, serta data tentang distribusi ozon di bagian atas atmosfer, dan lingkungan antariksa dekat Bumi — informasi penting untuk kelautan, penerbangan, pembangkit listrik, pertanian, dan komunitas lainnya. Space Environment Monitor (SEM/2) dipasang pada satelit dan terdiri dari Total Energy Detector (TED) dan MEPED (Medium Energy Proton and Electron Detector). Solar Backscatter Ultraviolet Spectral Radiometer (SBUV/2) dirancang untuk misi dua tahun, dan instrumen Microwave Humidity Sounder (MHS) dirancang untuk misi lima tahun. NOAA-19 juga menampung muatan Cospas-Sarsat.
