Naraka
Naraka (Sanskerta: नरक) adalah alam neraka dalam agama India. Menurut beberapa aliran Hindu, Sikh, Jainisme, dan Budha, Naraka adalah tempat penyiksaan. Kata Neraka (modifikasi dari Naraka) dalam bahasa Indonesia dan Malaysia juga telah digunakan untuk menjelaskan konsep tentang Naraka dalam Islam.[1]
Lalu, makhluk yang konon tinggal di dunia ini sering disebut sebagai Naraka. Makhluk-makhluk ini juga disebut dalam bahasa Sanskerta sebagai Narakiya (Sanskerta: नारकीय, Nārakīya), Narakarnawa (Sanskerta: नरकार्णव , Narakārṇava) dan Narakawasi ( Sanskerta: नरकवासी, Narakavāsī).[butuh rujukan]
