Nebula Pistol adalah nebula yang mengelilingi salah satu bintang yang paling terang di Bima Sakti, Pistol Star, keduanya 25.000 tahun cahaya dari Bumi di Gugus Quintuplet di dekat Pusat Galaksi.[1]
Ia memiliki sekitar 9,3 massa matahari, dan merupakan nebula gas besar yang terionisasi oleh Pistol Star yang dikeluarkan hanya beberapa puluh ribu tahun yang lalu, namun, adalah penyebab utama bahwa Pistol Star bukan bintang yang lebih bercahaya dari Bumi. Pikir itu, dan mungkin terlihat dari seluruh Bima Sakti. Nebula ini mendapat namanya pada tahun 1980 karena bentuknya yang terlihat seperti pistol dalam gambar resolusi rendah yang tersedia saat itu.[1][2]
