Nicolas Grunitzky (5 April 1913 – 27 September 1969) adalah presiden kedua Togo dan kepala negara ketiganya. Ia menjabat sebagai presiden dari tahun 1963 hingga 1967. Grunitzky juga pernah menjabat sebagai Perdana Menteri Togo dari tahun 1956 hingga 1958 di bawah sistem loi cadre Prancis, sehingga pemerintahannya merupakan pemerintahan "nasional" yang terbatas di bawah naungan kolonial Prancis. Setelah dilancarkannya kudeta pada tahun 1963 yang menewaskan saingan politiknya Sylvanus Olympio, Grunitzky dipilih sebagai presiden kedua Togo oleh komite militer yang melancarkan kudeta.
Ia terluka akibat kecelakaan mobil di Côte d'Ivoire dan meninggal akibat komplikasi di sebuah rumah sakit di Paris pada tahun 1969.
Latar belakang
Ia lahir di Atakpamé pada tahun 1913 dari ayah seorang Jerman yang berlatar belakang Polandia dan seorang ibu Togo yang berlatar belakang keluarga kerajaan Yoruba.[1][2]
