Nosiseptor (dari bahasa Latin nocere, berarti "menyakiti"; terj. har. 'penerima rasa sakit') adalah sebuah neuron sensorik yang merespon rangsangan yang merusak atau kemungkinan merusak dengan mengirim sinyal "ancaman yang mungkin" ke koluma vertebra dan otak.[1][2][3] Otak membuat sensasi rasa sakit ke area yang terkena ancaman agar ancaman tersebut dapat dimitigasi; proses ini dikenal dengan nosisepsi.
