Numidotherium ("binatang buas Numidia") adalah genus proboscidean awal yang telah punah, ditemukan pada tahun 1984, dan hidup pasa masa Eosen pertengahan di Afrika Utara sekitar 46 juta tahun yang lalu. Diperkirakan hewan dalam genus ini memiliki massa 200 kilogram.
Spesies tipe dalam genus ini, N. koholense, ditemukan dari kerangka yang hampir lengkap di El Kohol, Aljazair selatan, yang berasal dari masa Eosen awal/pertengahan. Ukuran dan kenampakan hewan ini mirip dengan tapir modern. Kerabat terdekatnya pada masa modern adalah gajah.[1]
Spesies baru yang bernama N. savagei ditemukan pada tahun 1995 di sebuah situs di Dor el Talha, Libya, bersama dengan proboscidean primitif lainnya, Barytherium grave. N. savagei mungkin sinonim dengan N. koholense.[2]
