Oba Benin

Oba Benin adalah penguasa tradisional Suku Edo dan Kepala Dinasti Eweka di Kerajaan Benin, sebuah kerajaan yang berpusat di Kota Benin di wilayah Nigeria modern. Kerajaan ini tidak sama dengan Republik Benin yang pada saat itu dikenal dengan nama Dahomey.
Pada tahun 1897, Britania melancarkan ekspedisi hukuman ke Benin dan membuang Oba Ovonramwen ke Calabar. Wilayah Kerajaan Benin lalu dijajah oleh Britania dan dijadikan bagian dari Koloni Nigeria.
