Observatorium Palomar adalah sebuah observatorium astronomi milik swasta yang terletak di San Diego County, California (AS), 145 kilometer (90 mi) di sebelah tenggara Los Angeles, California, di Jaringan Pegunungan Palomar. Observatorium ini dimiliki dan dioperasikan oleh California Institute of Technology (Caltech) yang berpusat di Pasadena, California. Waktu penelitian diberikan kepada Caltech dan rekan penelitiannya, yang meliputi Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) dan Cornell University.[1]
