Operasi Lilin

Operasi Lilin adalah sebutan dari kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh Kepolisian Republik Indonesia (Polri) untuk menjaga ibadah Natal. Operasi tersebut telah dilakukan sejak terjadinya Bom malam Natal 2000.[1] Operasi tersebut dilakukan dengan cara melakukan sterilisasi lingkungan gereja dan memeriksa barang-barang yang dibawa oleh jemaat. Selain itu, operasi tersebut juga mengamankan sejumlah titik kemacetan kemungkinan terjadinya pelanggaran peraturan lalu lintas dan berbagai tindak kriminal.[2]

Pada saat Lebaran dan Natal jatuh pada tanggal yang berdekatan, maka operasi tersebut disebut sebagai Operasi Ketupat Lilin.[1]
