Satelit Orbiting Astronomical Observatory (OAO) adalah serangkaian empat observatorium ruang angkasa Amerika yang diluncurkan oleh NASA antara tahun 1966 dan 1972, yang memberikan pengamatan berkualitas tinggi pertama dari banyak objek dalam sinar ultraviolet. Meskipun dua misi OAO adalah kegagalan, keberhasilan dua lainnya meningkatkan kesadaran dalam komunitas astronomi manfaat pengamatan berbasis ruang, dan menyebabkan dorongan Hubble Space Telescope.
