Pagofili
Pagofili atau pagofilia adalah ketonjolan atau ketergantungan pada es air untuk beberapa atau seluruh kegiatan dan fungsi. Istilah Pagophila berasal dari kata dalam bahasa Yunani kuno pagos yang artinya "es laut", dan philos yang artinya "cinta".
Hewan, tumbiuhan pagofilia, dll merujuk kepda hidup dilaut atau melakukan kegiatan tertentu di es. Contohnya, sejumlah anjing laut disebut sebagai pagofilik karena mereka beradaptasi untuk berkembang biak dan bersantap dalam kaitannya dengan habitat es mereka. Ketonjolan untuk habitat es telah teramati dalam banyak spesies mamalia, burung dan invertebrata.

Invertebrata es laut dijadikan sebagai sumber makanan penting bagi banyak spesies vertebrata Pagofilik.[1]
