Pantai Dunu
Pantai Dunu adalah pantai di Desa Dunu, Kecamatan Monano, Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara, Provinsi Gorontalo.[1] Pantai ini dapat dikunjungi dengan menggunakan kendaraan roda dua ataupun roda empat. Dari pusat Kota Gorontalo jarak yang ditempuh untuk menuju pantai ini adalah satu setengah jam perjalanan.[2]
Asal mula
Sebenarnya asal nama Pantai Dunu adalah Pantai Ribua (pantai tempat berlabuh). Dinamakan Pantai Ribua karena Pantai ini sering menjadi tempat berlabuh kapal saat sedang terjadi cuaca ekstrem. Oleh sebab itu dinamakan Ribua yang dalam bahasa Gorontalo berarti berlabuh. Namun orang-orang lebih mengenal pantai ini dengan nama Pantai Dunu.
