Papila lidah adalah struktur-struktur kecil pada permukaan atas lidah yang membuatnya bertekstur kasar. Terdapat empat jenis papila pada lidah manusia, masing-masing memiliki strukturnya sendiri yang mengelompokkanya: sirkumvalata, fungiformis, filiformis, dan foliata. Semua kecuali papila filiformis berhubungan dengan kuncup pengecap.[1] Pada individu hidup, papila lebih mudah dilihat ketika lidah dalam kondisi kering.[2]
