Patania ruralis, atau ngengat ibu mutiara (mother of pearl), adalah sebuah spesies ngengat dalam famili ngengat rumput Crambidae. Spesies tersebut dideskripsikan oleh Giovanni Antonio Scopoli pada 1763. Spesies tersebut ditemukan di Eropa, tersebar nyaris seluruh belahan benua tersebut dan kepulauan sekitarnya, kecuali Aegea dan Laut Tengah Barat serta Siprus.
