Paul Walter Hauser lahir pada tanggal 15 Oktober 1986 di Grand Rapids, Michigan, dan besar di Saginaw. Ia merupakan putra dari Deborah dan Paul Hauser, seorang pendeta Lutheran.[1][2] Ia menempuh pendidikan di Valley Lutheran High School, sekolah paroki swasta di Saginaw.[2]
