Pavel Mif adalah nama samaran dari Mikhail Alexandrovich Fortus (3 Agustus 1901 di Khersones Gubernia dari Kekaisaran Rusia - 10 September 1939) adalah seorang anggota Partai Bolshevik Ukraina & Rusia sejak Mei 1917.
Dia juga seorang sejarawan dengan gelar Doktor dalam bidang ekonomi (1935) dan peserta Perang Saudara Rusia (1918–20). Pernah kuliah di Universitas Komunis Yakov Sverdlov (1920–21) dan bekerja di partai komunis Ukraina (1923–1925), sebagai prorektor di Universitas Sun Yat-sen Moskow di bawah Karl Radek pada tahun 1925, rektor dari institusi yang sama setelah tahun 1927 dan anggota Dewan Eksekutif Komintern secara bersamaan,
Selain itu dia juga merupakan peserta Kongres ke-5 (1927) dan ke-6 (1928) dari Partai Komunis Tiongkok dan pertemuan pleno ke-4 Komite Sentral (1931).
