Pegar-cemerlang adalah burung dari genus Lophophorus dari famili burung pegar, Phasianidae.
Keterangan
Jantan semuanya memiliki bulu berwarna-warni dan berwarna-warni dan mengkilap. Fisik mereka agak montok. Makanan mereka terdiri dari tumbuhan seperti akar dan umbi serta serangga. Selama kawin, pejantan berpoligami di mana mereka kawin dengan beberapa betina. Betina pada gilirannya hanya kawin dengan jantan terpilih dan menjalin hubungan monogami. Akibat perusakan habitat dan perburuan, mereka menjadi langka dan populasinya terancam. [1]
