Penerusan janda
Penerusan janda adalah sebuah praktik politik terkenal di beberapa negara pada paruh awal aabd ke-20, dimana seorang politikus yang meninggal saat menjabat diteruskan oleh jandanya, baik melalui pemilu atau pengangkatan langsung ke kursinya.[1] Beberapa wanita terawal yang memegang jabatan politik pada zaman modern meraih jabatan mereka melalui praktik tersebut.
