Burung pengisap madu (famili Meliphagidae) adalah sebuah famili burung yang hidup di kawasan Oseania, yakni Australia, Nugini, Selandia Baru dan Hawaii. Di Bali, familia ini memiliki satu spesies. Familia ini terdiri dari 182 spesies dalam 42 genus.
Sebuah spesies baru burung pengisap madu ditemukan di Pegunungan Foja, Papua pada Desember 2005. Spesies ini kini masih dalam penelitian dan belum diberi nama ilmiah.[5]
