Penguin magellan (Spheniscus magellanicus) adalah penguin Amerika Selatan, berkembang biak di pesisir Patagonia, termasuk Argentina, Chili, dan Kepulauan Falkland, dengan beberapa bermigrasi ke Brasil di mana mereka kadang-kadang terlihat di utara sejauh Espirito Santo. Ini adalah penguin Spheniscus yang paling banyak.
Kerabat terdekatnya adalah penguin Afrika, penguin Humboldt, dan penguin Galápagos. Penguin Magellan diberi nama setelah penjelajah Portugis Fernão de Magalhães, yang melihat burung-burung itu pada tahun 1520.[2] Spesies ini terdaftar sebagai Hampir Terancam oleh IUCN.[1]
