Perang Salib Baron

Perang Salib Baron, juga disebut Perang Salib 1239, merupakan sebuah ekspedisi yang diselenggarakan oleh kaum bangsawan Prancis menyusul permohonan Paus Gregorius IX untuk melindungi Yerusalem. Perang ini dipersiapkan dengan baik secara militer, tetapi tidak siap secara diplomatis dan diarahkan oleh comte Champagne yang tidak memiliki kepekaan politis, ia tidak membawa hasil apapun kepada Tentara Salib. Karena beberapa alasan yang tidak diketahui,[2] perang ini tidak dianggap sebagai perang salib penuh. Perang ini terdiri dari pasukan yang mengesankan, tetapi angka-angka perkiraan sering berbeda.
