Percy Peter Tshidiso Qoboza adalah seorang jurnalis, pengarang dan kritikus terbuka terhadap pemerintahapartheid kulit hitam Afrika Selatan
Kehidupan awal
Lahir di sebuah ghetto kulit hitam di Sophiatown dari sebuah keluarga Xhosa yang kuat, ia memiliki pengalaman terhadap diskriminasi di kampung halamannya ketika kotapraja tersebut dihancurkan pada 1952 dalam sebuah pembersihan apartheid di wilayah tersebut. Beberapa penduduk dimasukkan ke truk terbuka seperti sapi.
Ia kemudian menggunakan pengalaman ini dan beberapa pengalaman lainnya untuk masuk Universitas Lesotho dimana ia meraih sebuah gelar dalam bidang teologi, namun kemudian kembali ke tanah air untuk menyelesaikan pembelajaran dalam bidang jurnalisme.
