Peseta Catalonia
Peseta merupakan mata uang Catalonia hingga 1850, ketika seluruh Spanyol didesimalkan. Juga merupakan nama yang digunakan di seluruh Spanyol untuk jumlah sebanyak 4 reales de vellón.
Di Catalonia, peseta terbagi menjadi 6 sueldo, terdiri dari 4 quartos (juga dibaca cuartos), 8 ochavos atau 12 dineros. Lima peseta sama dengan satu duro, juga dengan 8 reales de plata fuerte Spanyol (dolar Spanyol). Yang baru, mata uang desimal, peseta bernilai 4 real.
Nama peseta muncul kembali tahun 1868 untuk mata uang Spanyol yang baru. Nilainya sama dengan peseta sebelumnya.
Koin
Selama periode 1809-14, koin yang dibuat dalam peseta dan quartos dibuat di Barcelona.
