Pesisir Prancis, 1783–1904

Pesisir Prancis atau Pesisir Perjanjian adalah konsep yang terlahir setelah ratifikasi Perjanjian Utrecht pada tahun 1713. Berdasarkan perjanjian tersebut, Prancis diperbolehkan mencari ikan di sepanjang pesisir utara Newfoundland yang terletak di antara Tanjung Bonavista dan Point Riche. Kawasan ini telah didatangi oleh nelayan dari Bretagne semenjak awal abad ke-16 dan mereka menjulukinya "le petit nord" (utara kecil).[1]

Pada tahun 1783, Perjanjian Versailles mengubah batas pesisir Prancis menjadi kawasan yang terletak di antara Tanjung St. John dan Tanjung Ray, seperti yang ditunjukkan oleh peta di artikel ini.

Pada tahun 1904, Prancis melepaskan haknya untuk melaut di Newfoundland utara sebagai dampak dari Entente cordiale dengan Britania Raya.
