Petechia (atau dalam bentuk jamak petechiae) adalah bintik kecil berwarna merah atau ungu dengan ukuran 1–2 mm di kulit atau mata, yang disebabkan oleh pendarahan minor dari pembuluh darah kapiler. Petechiae di mata bisa menjadi petunjuk kematian atau kekerasan dalam bentuk pencekikan, terutama jika aliran dari vena terhambat (yang terjadi saat dilakukan pencekikan). Tanda petechiae bisa dijadikan bukti dalam hal pendarahan pembuluh kapiler ini.[1]
