Philokhorus
Philokhorus dari Athena (/fɪˈlɒkərəs/; bahasa Yunani Kuno: Φιλόχορος ὁ Ἀθηναῖος; skt. 340 SM – skt. 261 SM),[1] merupakan seorang sejarawan Yunani dan Atthidografer pada abad ke-3 SM, dan seorang anggota keluarga kepastoran. Ia adalah seorang peramal dan menafsirkan tanda-tanda, dan merupakan seorang pria yang memiliki pengaruh besar.[2]
Philokhorus sangat anti-Makedonia dalam bidang politik, dan musuh besar Demetrius Poliorcetes. Ketika Antigonos II Gonatas, putra yang terakhir, mengepung dan merebut Athena (261 SM), Philokhorus dihukum mati karena mendukung Ptolemaios II Philadelphos dari Mesir, yang mendorong bangsa Athena untuk bertahan melawan Makedonia.[2][3]
