Pierre Restany

Pierre Restany

Pierre Restany (24 Juni 1930 – 29 Mei 2003), merupakan seorang kritikus seni rupa dan filsuf kebudayaan asal Prancis.

Masa muda

Restany lahir di Amélie-les-Bains-Palalda, Pyrénées-Orientales. Masa kecilnya dilalui di Casablanca. Ketika kembali ke Prancis pada tahun 1949 ia belajar di Lycée Henri-IV sebelum memasuki universitas di Prancis, Italia dan Irlandia. Sejak pertemuan pertama mereka pada tahun 1955, Restany mempertahankan hubungan baiknya dengan Yves Klein.[1]
